Operation Florian in Scotland

Operation Florian was established as a charity in 1995 (Charity Number 054657) and is a UK Fire Service Humanitarian Charity working to promote the protection of life amongst communities in need, world wide, by the provision of equipment and training to improve fire fighting and rescue capabilities.

Operation Florian has a Board of Trustees that is responsible for the management and direction of the Charity.

In 2007 Operation Florian members from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue approached Grampian firefighters for assistance with a project to deliver equipment and training to Macedonia. In May 2008, following several months of fund raising, a Team from Grampian delivered an appliance, equipment, and training to Macedonia.

Grampian's Florian membership is growing and members are now actively involved with further humanitarian aid projects.
