About Operation Florian in Scotland

In a nutshell Operation Florian trains firefighters in countries who don't have a fully functional fire and rescue service. In addition we provide vital equipment including fire engines, fire fighting equipment, cutting equipment and personal protection equipment. We help to create an effective fire and rescue service where previously there wasn't one. 

Operation Florian has been active since 1995. In 2007 Grampian Fire and Rescue became the first fire service in Scotland to get involved, successfully taking part in the 2008 operation to Macedonia.
